Lifestyle | Life Lessons With Anna, Elsa And Olaf

Following on from an earlier post “Lifestyle | Which Disney Princess is your role model?”, I wanted to add some life lessons that were shared by Anna, Elsa and Olaf in our recent favourite Disney outing Frozen – the film that everyone is singing about! In addition to the catchy songs, heart-warming tale and smile inducing scenes, there’s some real nuggets of advice to be taken from the characters…

Frozen (2013)

Anna

Anna might not be the prim and proper princess that we are used to but her sense of humour and adventurous spirit are a welcome breath of fresh air, which tells us that we should embrace who we are and always show our true colours. We also learn that love is the most powerful magic of all – a sentiment that is solidified by Anna’s actions to save Elsa’s life, she sees her sister in danger and reacts with love. However, Anna also proves that you might find yourself dating a few villains before your true love arrives, just don’t give up!

Elsa

Let it go; the past is the past. No amount of worrying or regret will change the past but it could take away your chances of happiness in the future. Don’t shut out your loved ones, sometimes letting people in can be difficult, as it means that you will be confronting emotions but you will suffer more, if you choose to go through that alone. Elsa also shows us that we shouldn’t conceal any part of ourselves, as she tried to with her powers, even though they turned out to be beautiful and powerful. Your differences make you unique, use them to your advantage!

Olaf

Perhaps an unlikely role model but this warm-hugging snowman is full of love and wisdom! He teaches us to follow our dreams, no matter how far out of reach they seem. Olaf’s dream of summer sounds impossible to everyone but that doesn’t stop him dreaming of days in the sunshine and Elsa eventually helps in making his dream a reality, proving that nothing is impossible and the key to unlocking your dreams might just be positivity!
