Lifestyle | Heart-Shaped Cookie Recipe ♥

Happy Pancake Day! I can hardly believe that it’s that time again, it’s certainly crêped up on us…

Today I’m going to share a recipe for a pancake ginormous heart-shaped cookie because it was Valentine’s day at the weekend and this is how I spent my time, I’m also passing this as a “lifestyle” post because cookies are a way of life, right?

The ingredients:

4oz Softened Butter               6oz Plain Flour

4oz Granulated Sugar            ¼ tsp Baking Powder

2oz Brown Sugar                    ¾ tsp Vanilla Extract

1 Egg                                         Pinch of Salt

100g Milk, White or Plain Chocolate Chips (or a mix of two or three!)

The motivation:

Bringing your cookie to life:

  • Preheat oven to 350f/180c/Gas Mark 4
  • Spray Giant Heart Shaped Cookie tin (equivalent to 13 x 9 in tin) with oil
  • In a large bowl, with an electric mixer, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add beaten egg and vanilla; mix well. Stir in flour, baking powder and salt; mix well. Stir in chocolate chips
  • Spread dough into prepared tin. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown
  • Cool in tin on rack for 5 minutes. Remove from tin. Allow to cool before decorating, as an example:

And voilà! If you try this recipe, let me know how it turns out!
