Fashion & Beauty | Christmas 2014 Highlights

I absolutely love, love, love (see the emphasis here?) Christmas. I’m that annoying person that starts listening to Christmas music in September with my decorations up at the end of November and a whole wardrobe of cheesy Christmas jumpers to share with the world from the 1st December and every day thereafter.

Despite being the girl that asks for nothing, I appear to get everything. Beyond the quality time spent with family, delicious food and gift-giving, I have found myself quite spoilt at the end of last year. I thought that I would share some of the fashion and beauty highlights from my gifts in 2014 — because I’d quite like to see what everyone else got as well!

1. Perfumes

Vera Wang – Preppy Princess, which is P1040222youthful, sweet and fruity. I could see myself wearing this for all occasions!

Ted Baker – Langley is a luxurious, elegant and floral fragrance. This is a heavier scent, more suited to evenings.

2. Nail polish

P1040226My ever-growing nail polish collection had a new addition last Christmas with this super cute Ciate Candy Cane House, I’ll admit – I was sold on the packaging alone.

Usually with nail polish sets I find that some of the colours are less attractive than others but I love all 4 here – ‘Candy Craze’, ‘Ginger Snap’, ‘Tangled Tinsel’ and ‘Snow Fall’, which are all festively scented too!

Also pictured are two Bourjois manicure toppings to give my nails the extra edge with a “3D effect”!! Now I know how I will be spending my Sundays…

3. Make-up

One of my rising (fast-becoming-a-favourite) make-up brands is Bella Pierre, their products are all natural, organic and high quality. There’s something about them that feels rich and luxurious when applying!

I was lucky enough to add a Bella Pierre mascara, eyeliner, eyeshadow powder, 3-shade palette and lipstick (In the shade ‘Fierce’, which is absolutely STUNNING!) to my collection.

I might review this range in a separate post at a later date because, well, it deserves it!

4. Clothing

I instantly fell in love with this suede/leather jacket from Vila Clothes, it’s ultra modern, super chic but retains femininity through it’s shape.

I think that leather jackets are a staple for any wardrobe but this is certainly a twist on a classic!

5. ShoesP1040228

Marilyn Monroe once said “Give a girl the right shoes, and she can conquer the world” – and I have to agree, whether that be a pair of heels, sneakers or Guess winter suede boots!

These shoes are fur-lined inside, which not only makes them extra warm but also makes them ridiculously comfortable – for the girl that has to carry plasters in her purse, these boots are heaven!

6. Watches (Yes, plural)

P1040250P1040255

I think that I have a bit of an obsession with watches, seriously I should be going to “watches anonymous” or something, as these two take 6th and 7th place… eek!

I’ve wanted a rose-gold watch for quite a while, knowing that the colour is really beautiful (at least I think so!). This Steve Madden watch is more than perfect for the job, classic yet modern with the 3D pyramids between numbers and chunky arrow hands.

This really cute watch from Portobello Road is inspired by none other than The Wizard of Oz! With it’s glittery red strap, Dorothy shoes charm and “There’s no place like home” slogan on the watch face, it’s bound to bring an element of fantasy and fairytale to every day life! Just for fun!

I hope that you enjoyed reading about my fashion and beauty highlights from Christmas 2014 — and I also hope that you had a wonderful Christmas yourself with an even better new year ahead!
